All donation transactions are processed through secure, third-party payment processors. We do not store or have access to your full credit card or banking information.

 

These third-party processors are independently responsible for the security and privacy of your payment data. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any payment platform used on our site.

 

For U.S.-based donations, we comply with applicable IRS regulations, including recordkeeping requirements for charitable contributions. For Ghana-based operations, we adhere to applicable financial and data protection regulations under Ghanaian law.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party.

 

We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Specific retention periods include:

  • Donor records: Retained for a minimum of 7 years in compliance with U.S. IRS regulations and applicable Ghanaian financial recordkeeping requirements

  • Volunteer application data: Retained for up to 2 years following submission, or longer if a volunteer relationship is established

  • Email and newsletter subscriptions: Retained until you opt out or request deletion

  • Website analytics data: Retained in accordance with Wix's data retention policies

 

After the applicable retention period, we will securely delete or anonymize your information.

 

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Secure, encrypted website hosting through Wix

  • Use of third-party payment processors with PCI-DSS compliance

As an organization whose programs benefit children, we are especially committed to their protection.
